AI-generated images
We use AI-generated images for editorial illustrations and some visual quiz guides. These images help explain styles, choices and concepts. They are illustrative examples and do not document specific products, people or outcomes.
Room photo studio
Your uploaded photo is resized and converted to JPEG in this tab, removing embedded location and camera metadata from the copy we send. Nothing is uploaded until you confirm photo processing and choose “Create my room look.” Use photos you have permission to upload, without people or private documents in view.
When you generate a look, the prepared photo and your selected style settings pass through our Room Style Match and shared What Colors Suit Me servers to Google’s Gemini image service for processing. Google processes that copy under its applicable service terms and retention policies. We do not save room photos or generated images in our application database, and we do not log image contents. Network and security providers still process information needed to deliver the service.
The original and generated looks remain in this page’s memory until you remove all photos, reload, or leave. Download a look to keep your own copy. “Remove all photos” clears this tab’s images and cancels its pending request; it cannot retract a request already received by the image provider. These controls do not delete files you previously downloaded.
To limit abuse and image costs, we store daily request counts and a short processing lock under an identifier derived from a secret, the date and the connection’s IP address. We do not store the raw IP in this quota table. Our daily cleanup removes quota records once they are more than two calendar days old. Failed or canceled generation requests can count toward the daily allowance.
Quiz answers and private access
We save the selected quiz answers, a random profile identifier and a hashed access token to create and restore your result. The quiz does not request a name, email, address, photo or health information. Do not put sensitive information into optional device notes.
Your browser tab stores the private access token and a cached result. A saved private link includes the token in its fragment; the page moves it to session storage and removes the fragment from the address bar. Anyone who receives the complete private link can access the profile, so keep it private.
Room drawings, budgets and notes stay on device
The room planner stores the room dimensions and furniture you enter in this browser’s local storage. Paid budget edits, actual costs and notes also stay in local storage. They are not uploaded to our server and do not follow a private report link to a different device. Use export and print controls to keep a separate copy. The planner has a clear-data control.
Retention and deletion
Unpaid profiles are kept for up to 30 days and paid profiles for up to 365 days, subject to a short checkout-processing grace period. The saved-profile control on your result deletes server answers and report access. Download any purchased plan first. Financial order records are retained separately; those records contain order identifiers, amounts and status, not your quiz answers, email or photos.
Payments
If available, checkout is hosted by Lemon Squeezy through our shared What Colors Suit Me commerce service. The payment provider processes the contact and payment information you enter under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your card details. The room report unlocks after server payment confirmation.
How people find a useful result
On public pages, this browser tab remembers only a broad entry topic and source category: a recognized search service, What Colors Suit Me, another referral, or direct access. This uses session storage, not a tracking cookie. We do not save the page URL, URL parameters, full referrer, exact search terms, private links or access tokens in attribution.
When you complete the quiz, those two categories are saved with the profile, together with a country code supplied by Cloudflare when available. We do not copy an IP address into the profile or attribution. A checkout date and verified payment or refund status let us compare completed profiles and their outcomes in aggregate. One profile counts once even if it has multiple orders. These counts describe saved profiles, not distinct people.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable this attribution and browser activity counting. A signal clears the tab’s stored attribution; the next authenticated result, report or checkout request also clears attribution already attached to that profile. The free quiz, private result and purchases still work. Profile deletion or expiry removes its attribution. Necessary hosting, security and separate financial records continue to support the service. No third-party tracker or advertising cookie is added.
Basic operation and counts
Cloudflare processes network information needed to serve the site, prevent abuse and operate the service. We count quiz starts and offer views in daily totals, without an individual visitor identifier. Related-site referral categories are included in the profile attribution described above. Private access tokens and report IDs are not included in those event counts. We use no third-party analytics cookies or advertising pixels.
